Useful ideas for an old shower door?
« on: November 09, 2011, 09:23 »
Should I let it go to the tip or is there anything we can use it for?

We made a coldframe and used a bi-fold shower door as the sloping opening face. If yours is one-piece and not bi-fold, you could just make it simply hinged. :)

That could be so useful for lots of things, have you got room to keep it without it being a bother.

Even it you just used it with a brick under each corner to get the ground dry enough for spring sowing its worth keeping.  It might be the difference between life and death for some seedling

Very useful, as Spana said, a metter of life and death in the spring.

(Just remember to weight it down so it doesn't blow about in a gale like things do on our site  )

I believe.  .  .  .that shower doors are shatterproof and will break into squillions of small pieces rather than big bits with sharp edges.   Should the door break, you may be picking up bits of glass for evermore.    I've rejected using a couple of conservatory doors for this reason.         Cheers,     Tony.
