Fruit bushes in Aldi - Thursday 6th August

Pomegranate, Kiwi, Grape, Cranberry, Tayberry, Fig and Gojiberry in 9cm pots, for £1.99 each.

Think I might go and take a look :) SWMBO would like to try Gojiberries so there's my instructions for the week  :tongue2:

I bought 6 'bushes' from them 2 years ago... nothing happened.

I know they are cheap, but when you add the cost of planters, compost and slug repellant... all adds up.

Good luck though, I hear some people get great results!

None of my cheap aldi/lidl trees have done anything (except look good) my expensive trees, loads of fruit!!

My raspberries have done well in their first year so I think I'll take a gamble. £2 is not much to lose really  :tongue2:

I brought 40 blackthorn bushes and they look great 39 took the other one didnt in the end, yes okay we have no fruit but I dont expect it for a few years

I'll be there  :D

As they are potted they might be better that the slightly dessicated ones I bought bare rooted from them ealier in the year. Worth a look

Thanks for the heads up, I got myself a goji bush.  When I got home I cut two of the branches and stuck them in some water.......... haven't a clue what i'm doing but sure I read somewhere that this worked for someone.
What if the Hokey Cokey IS what its all about...
