How much is too much?
« on: June 07, 2009, 10:14 »
I am looking into getting some bantams (sussex hopefully). How much should I be paying for a couple of girls? I approached the domestic fowl trust last year and they wanted £25 per bird which I thought was too much. Is this what I should be expecting to pay or is there someone else in worcestershire area that could sell me some for cheaper?

For general pure breed birds you can expect to pay anything upto £30 each. Hybrids will be cheaper. For very very rare breeds the skies the limit as far as cost goes.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Chickens are in great demand this year so the price depends realy on what you are willing to pay. A lot of breeders have sold out of POL, as they are sold before they reach that age.
