percy thrower was mr gardener himself . he was the only tv presenter gardener who got his hands down and dirty in every program.showing you how to plant things from start to harvest ,he lived and loved what he did i had great delight in watching his old programs

He was ace, sort of like a grandad figure (me only being a bairn). Used to watch him with my grandad.
