b arbi's on the plot
« on: April 30, 2008, 14:51 »
are there any plotters out there that can have barbis on the plot?

it seems that not being able to have a little barbi on a bank holiday weekend is a bit mean-  it could be so bonding to have a barbi with all the interesting and well informed plotters around -  i think we could all learn a lot to help improve the plots in general--    i'm not talking a big boozie barbi just a nice little civilized affair-  any advice on how we could talk the committee into it... :D  :D

Why defer to a committee  :?

Have a barbi, it's your plot and if you don't bother anyone else there's no problem

Problems only start when you ask permission  :D

I shall be cooking my lunch on my plot as soon as the weather improves. The only rule about fires is no bonfires between 9 am and 4.30 pm.
The answer lies in what you put into the ground!

It's probably not the case.  They say all sorts.  Have your barbie. It's not a crime  :D

I am organising a barbie this summer for the whole site (around 30 plots) i suggested it at the last general meeting and the other plot holders seemed quite keen, as you say it is a way of bonding. Maybe if you explain to the committee that it is a good way of getting to know others and exchanging ideas, it might go your way. You may need to check your rules but it would be pretty mean for them to knock you back.

Good luck :)  :)

Why not plead ignorance and provide lots of yummy stuff and invite folk to your plot with a few bottles of plonk. It would be a lovely way to bond with people. Once the "commitee"see you come in peace Im sure they will be fine.
Oh for those halcyon days of England long ago
