iIs it meeeeeeee?
« on: October 24, 2023, 11:21 »
Just received my waitawhile delivery. Whilst unpacking said delivery there was a head of broccoli let loose in the crate without any packaging. I commented on this to the driver and he said they can't use plastic bags anymore which I'd recently been aware of. In the same basket there was a carton of eggs in - guess what - a plastic bag.  ???
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

There are exemption for certain items due to contamination - which items it applies to can sometimes be rather stupid.  I wouldn't want anything I eat directly in contact with a delivery crate, and I'm sure some allergy suffers wouldn't either.  I've crumbled to delivery drivers about un-bagged cabbages in the past too.

Broccoli is either shrink-wrapped or loose in our Waitrose - and the same in Tesco!

Your man is getting it wrong!

Previously, it used to be shrink-wrapped, so perhaps it wanted to escape my cooking and enlisted some help from a pack of un-wrapped bananas!
