Hello,   
I usually rotate crops but have a raised bed made from old metal shelving which has been filled with nice sieved soil that I was going to keep for carrots and parsnips but wondered if anyone else grows in one spot?
Apart from the dreaded carrot fly I don't usually have problems and I should be able to net this really well.....

I have a raised bed for my parsnips which I use every year with no problems. I put a 3-4 inch layer of well rotted compost on 2-3 months before planting (about now). Three weeks before sowing I add some 6X fertilizer. Once the parsnips have germinated I sprinkle on some bonemeal to supply phosphorus for good root growth. I usually get a bumper crop with no disease issues.
