I bought two red gooseberries, (there wasn't any green ones,) and two thornless blackberries. I'm thinking of potting them up one size and letting them get a better root system before I harden them off.

Hmmmm not sure what is meant by treat them as non hardened off plants...can someone explain please

It means gradually get the plant used to outside conditions, as it's been in a closed environment for the last week or so - don't suddenly put it outside day and night.
