Title: Feliway
Post by: Kate and her Ducks on July 11, 2012, 18:48
Was wondering what peoples experience of this was.

The background is that I am about to acquire 3 new kittens to go with my existing slightly neurotic cat and my OHs very old cat. It's a long story but the punchline is that tubal ligation is not 100% effective as my sister has just discovered!

They will have loads of space as we are (fingers crossed) just about to move into our little smallholding but it is going to be a stressful experience for all of them. Just wondering if this would be a way of minimising that for them.

If I recall correctly, Cara has suggested Feliway in the past.

I does seem to work but the smell is something else. John doesn't mind it as much as me but I really can't stand it. Another option is to get them some Zylkene (providing you can get it in them!) - we used it when we moved our moggies here and kept them on it for a short while afterwards.
