Title: Tomato & Chilli fertiliser.
Post by: fatbelly on August 13, 2020, 19:56
Hi All,
Been a long long time since I posted on here, can you please advise.

I've got toms and chillis growing in the greenhouse & Chrysanths on the plot. I've been feeding the toms and chillis with Tomorite which is nearly empty. Don't really want to buy more tomorite because I've got loads of a soluble fertiliser which has a NPK of 19-19-19. I know the Nitrogen of 19 is not what's required at this time of the season but the K of 19 is. What do you all think? Will I be okay using a 19-19-19 for my toms, chillis & whilst I'm at it on my Chrysanths as well.
Thanks

I must admit that towards the end of the season, I tend to use up any open stuff I have, regardless of whether it is the prescribed norm.

It has never caused any particular issues that I have noticed.  There is a fair bit of N in a lot of feeds that say they are suitable for tomatoes anyway  ;)
