Title: Battery powered strimmer
Post by: londongardener on November 29, 2018, 15:16
This is to keep the grass down between gooseberry bushes etc on the allotment plot.
A) Is this the best way?  Any better solutions would be welcomed.
B) Any recommendations on model.

Our garden is so small that I never mow it.

This is a new allotment (3 months so far) and I have been told that I need to improve or I will lose it in 3 months.

I bought a Bosch cordless a couple of years ago and its brill. A bit dearer than some but keeps its charge well.

Same here, ARP.

The Bosch rechargeable one was luckily a great choice for all the paths on The Patch! (And there were quite a few).

You should get about forty minutes from a charge.

I have a Black and Decker B2018 with a Li-ion battery.
Quite happy with it, and will probably get a extra battery as I now have a deserted/overgrown plot next to my 2nd allotment that needs keeping under control as wel!
