Title: Enjoying autumn sunshine
Post by: New shoot on October 20, 2018, 20:29
I've had a pretty full on week at work juggling 2 jobs, with shifts colliding into each other and general chaos, so this morning I was slumped on the sofa, drinking coffee and contemplating what to do with my day off.

Then the sun came out, I got the gardening gear on and now the whole back garden is tidied and neat.  I have several bags of greenery for the plot compost heaps and although I ache, I'm feeling less tired somehow and ready to tackle the front garden tomorrow.

I'm not sure how that works. but being outside in the fresh air has done the power of good and the autumn sunshine somehow seeped into my soul and re-charged my batteries  :D

Bonus days like this in October are wonderful  8)

I so agree, this is my favourite time of year in many ways.  A walk in Richmond Park early yesterday morning was shrouded in mist which was rising from the slopes as we walked.  So often warm enough to go without a coat, but not so hot that you collapse from heatstroke.

Another in agreement, there's nothing like a dry Autumn day. The gentle warmth, the colours and the return of warm drinks for comfort :)

It’s like magic isn’t it how those hours outside recharge not just your batteries but your soul as well. I feel sorry for the people who just see it as hard work & would rather doss around playing computer games or whatever. Funny how you end up more energised by expand8ng lots of energy.

Lovely afternoon here too, sitting in our daughter's garden contemplating the new house for the chooks. Making the most of it  :D :D

The sun gets so low, the autumn colours in the trees are almost level with your face, and the picture is just marvellous!

I'm still pondering whether to mow or not, but as it's so damp in the morning, the job needs to be put back to the afternoon, which interferes with one's sleep pattern..;0)

Autumn is my favourite time of year. After the torpid days of summer it's so beautiful to stroll around outside and breathe in that certain sort of fresh and clear air, to see the patterns on the fields as the low rays of the sun shine through the nude branches of the trees, and to enjoy seeing the empty fire grate full of glowing coals.

Sat outside as I type, cup of tea & vest type top, parasol up to shade my eyes, had to move out of the conservatory for my lunch as I was too hot even with the doors open.
