Title: Seed potatoes

I checked my trays of  seed potatoes this morning and found some are soft and some are green are they ok  :nowink:

Light does make them go a bit green, and they do get a bit softer with prolonged chitting as they lose some of their water content.

If the chits look OK, and they're slightly soft rather than mushy, they should be fine.

You wouldn't be in much doubt if they were rotting - there aren't many worse pongs in this world than from a rotting potato IMHO!  :ohmy:
