As introduced in the other topic ive recently taken on a very overgrown allotment, we have cleared one side but the other is just too much, and we have opted for weedkillingring it. trouble is 250 yards is going to take forever with a little spray gun, can anyone advise how to spray a large area such as this. Many thanks

Large pump sprayer, you can hire them from HSS etc sometimes called a knapsack sprayer

Buy a 3 or 5 litre sprayer (back pack or with a sling).
Buy some undiluted glyphosate (non-branded varieties are cheaper than round-up).
Mix at the stated dilution.
Spray.
Wait 2-4 weeks.
Most of the weeds should be dead by then, dig out the roots.
Keep an eye on any re-growth (there's always some!)

hi , B+Q sell the best pump sprayer £ 30-00 , fill to maximum 5 lts add the required amount of round up and spray away , i would use 10 ml of round up to a full sprayer , one sprayer full should do the job , you will have enough round up for the next 12 months , happy spraying ,

Agreed Rich, that's only about 1/10th of the recommended strength.
