Hi, i'm new to the forum, and  would like some advice for my grandad who has been having rotovator problems. I'll explain a little about our situation, we have a plot of land around 2-3 acres which is used for mainly vegtables. In the past my grandad has used such rotovators like howard 350's and recently bought a husqvarna CRT51, which is now nackord basically jammed in gear. After only having the CRT51 for a few years, he's really after something a bit more robust, what would you recommend we should go for?

We have a budget of about £500-1000 pound, i would be most grateful for any suggestions. On a side note he also asked if anyone would be interested in buying an old howard 707 with a german diesel engine, which is stored in the barn.

The 51 cannot be to bad
If you only have 1k to spend to look after 3 acres you might be better getting the howards going. Or find someone to repair the 51
The Blecs and big Hondas are going to be 2k-3k by the time you have some kit.

Cheers for the reply, CRT51 wasen't too bad, we do have an old international with a howard 50inch rotovator. But it's no good for use in the tighter area's, as we do a bit of comercial growing mainly runner beans every year. Each row is about a meter in width, and is walked on a lot through out the season, so the ground becomes very hard. I'll ask see if he would spend more, then what he first suggested.
