Title: Best way to ripen tomatoes?
Post by: scabs on August 15, 2009, 17:48
I found one of my toms had collapsed yesterday and the stem had snapped (bit of a mystery, actually)

Anyway, I removed the bunches ot tomatoes, leaving them on the vine and they are on the windowsill in the company of a banana.

Will this do it? How long will it take? Am I better of using them some other way (there's not that many really)?

They will ripen as long as they are not too small. I would think that they will start to turn within a few days.................but there are always a few that take forever :)

I have mine in the greenhouse but they always ripen quicker on the windowsill which i find quite strange really.
