Ridiculously chuffed!

Made our first strawberry jam last night!!! :D :D :D
Now I know you lot are all experts, but what fantastic pleasure our jam on toast was for breakfast!!

Well done! I've got 6 lbs of strawberries in the freezer to turn into jam (it's not exactly jam making weather at the moment).

My mum and I made strawberry jam yesterday too.  We copied Hugh FW and put some gooseberries into it as well.  It made a real difference to the setting and isn't as cloyingly sweet either.  Fabulous on freshly cut bread at lunch time.

Well done Foxy!!!!  There's no pressure for me is there???? :unsure:.    I will be hopefully doing some this week .....I just hope it's a bit more spreadable than my rhubarb and orange jam (knife and fork job) :lol: :lol:

Well done!!!! Always taste so much better when it is homemade. :) I just made up some red currant jam and some plum jam(store bought plums, waiting on my tree to grow...:) )
