Barrier/screen

Been given the go ahead by the gaffer at home to use the bottom of the garden for vegetable production.  She doesnt think I will create a Joy Larkum style potagers garden so wants some sort of screen.  

Has to have a few requirements.


Must be high enough to hide green house/ poly tunnel.

Fairly fast growing or a instant hard construction.

Attractive opening leading between veg garden and main garden

Your ideas thoughts please

Hi Fluff..saw some screening at RHS Tatton Park show..made up of what looked like concrete re-enforcing mesh, or similar, between wooden posts and broadish leafed, dark green ivy trained through it. It looked quite effective, and of course being evergreen it would do the job all year...!!

Can only think of brushwood screening between rustic posts. Maybe a nice rustic gate and a stepping stone and gravel path, with hanging baskets on the posts ?  

Might have got a bit carried away there  :roll:
