Polytunnel finally up!
« on: February 20, 2019, 05:57 »
Only a small one 2x3m, but now means we can get properly sorted, get the paving done and store away all the wood and bricks which have been littering the bare beds.

We have a list of seeds to sow in it this weekend, some things going in a bit later than planned but was wondering if anyone has sown their peppers & tomatoes yet or waiting a few weeks?

Also, would my chillies which have been indoor all winter be ok to go in there or should I wait for it to warm up a bit generally? They're covered in flowers so dont want to lose them.

Cheers!

Ideally minimum night time temperatures need to be around 10c before putting out things like peppers, especially if they've been sitting in a nice warm centrally heated house all winter, I'd be waiting at least 4-6 weeks.

I'll keep the chillies in for now then. They're getting quite  bushy and takimg up all the kitchen windowsills at the moment!
