will it be ok to put a camera into the incubator for recording?

I would like to record my chicks hatching. Would it be ok to put a camera into the incubator to record?

The thing that would worry me about the camera apart from anything else would be the heat and humidity in there.

Does it have a glass door?  Mine did, but I used to take pics every now and again.  When the chicks were hatching I could sit there for hours watching them!

The incubator i have does not have a door but it has 4 air holes in the top.
The humidity in it at the moment is 65% which it has been for the last 2 days. One of the chicks is starting to break through the egg hence the recording question :) I think you are correct, the humidity could be to high for the camera  :(

Mmmmm, what about a webcam?  or would that possibly suffer the same probs as  a camera?  Just thought there might not be as much 'gubbins' in a webcam?

I would have thought a cheap webcam would do the job.
of course you have to consider other implications - would it be a violation of avian rights to watch and take pictures?
I know you can take snapshots using webcams.
