On the packets of seeds that ive just bought, it says to sow in March and harvest december to to ferbuary (these are sprouts, cabbage, brasiicas really). Whereas on other pakets of seeds it said to harvest the next year, well vurtually 2 years later after sowing, couldnt work it out so I thought id come to the experts for advice. If I sow them round about now, will I have a harvest for christams as im planning on growing my own Christmas dinner.

Any help would be gratley apreciated

What are these "Other packets of seeds". There's not a lot that 2 take 2 years from sowing to harvest. Some are sow this year, harvest next, (e.g. Purple Sprouters), but even those have a cycle of less than 1 year.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Specifically which veg?

Some you can sow early to harvest later that year and then make another sowing later to over winter.

If you have one of those packets with the months shown as a bar, they will have to show two years to accomodate this.

Think you'll find as I said. Sow either early for the same year, late for the next, but they need a 2 year calendar to cater for both sowings.
