drive belts

i have been thinking these belt things seem to be the cause of a lot of distress. So given there are only a few rotovators. And belts come numbered in length and section it should be easy to build a data base of suitable belts for the range of machines we use. All we have to do is add the numbers on the belt and the machine it fits to this thread. Ie  Honda  f 400 = A27V. Then we can go to a belt supplier and get what we need. Easy. One supplier is Brammer UK Ltd (old BSL). This is where i get all my belts.
always have a target
and an objective.

Good Idea Frankie, you would think some one would make an adjustable belt like those emergency fan belt kits you used to see.

its a load of hassle you have to interlock a load of little bits of belt and pins.

Its far easier and better to measure the belt and its section and get a new one for a fiver. the section or the cross section of the belt is calobrated by a letter then the length in mm's as a number. so A 127 is a big old section and 127 mm diameter. Any belt supplier can help (BSL) or your loacal farm supplier ect.
