tell me more about your plant............
The flowers look like they're Lobularia/Allysum family (brassica family ;)) - I thought Lobularia Maritima, but the leaves don't look quite rght

There is a big clump of it growing out of the beach we visited this morning. You can see it growing out of the sand in the second picture, if you know what you're looking at. :)

Was just about to say that it reminded me of a plant that I see on our sand dunes but I do not know its name. If no-one on here knows it might be a good idea to post the picture on I-spot - someone there is bound to know.

I'm quite impressed with mum's suggestion of "Lobularia Maritima". :)

I think it's probably sea rocket aka Cakile Maritima - leaves are right this time  ;)

I would agree with MOS - have just found my FSC leaflet 'Key to plants common on sand dunes' and your picture would appear to be Sea Rocket. They are edible and I have attached some more information.

If they're edible - does that make them rocket fuel  ::)

I just wondered as the Wiki page ::) on it says it contains some acid which arrests cardiac function (or similar words) in a number of mammals...

That is a really good site you linked to Springlands, I'm enjoying having a good browse,  thanks for that! :D

We used to pick sea rocket leaves from the shingle banks along Southsea when I was a child, to add to salads - sharp, bitter taste, nice in small quantities.

Also had sea kale too  :D
