im pretty sure i read somewhere that if you sell/ advertise them as free range you better have the paper work to back it up

I think that's more for 'organic' :)

If you advertised free range eggs on a menu & you had a visit from trading standards, you would have to prove that they are free range.

Like homemade or homecooked!!! There is a difference!!!

£1.20 for half dozen, but they are seriously HUGE eggs! the largest in the local co-op (extra large free range) are £1.99 for 6 and they are still smaller than ours (average size last week was between 3 1/2 and 4 oz) clever beautiful girls!

Purple bat - what chickens lay that size?

Our's haven't laid yet, but we used to give ours to neighbours as a thank you for helping to look after them.  Other than that I sell them to a lady at work who has 6 a week for £1.20.  It goes in the egg money box and pays for chicken treats!
new to hens
Thanks

not sure what they are - one is definitely a black rock cross as for the other six - I think they might be ISA browns but some-one else thought they were bovan goldlines (warrens) all I know is that they are beautiful big girls, and always come to me for a cuddle

Fairly sure the problem is if you advertise them as organic you have to have the paperwork from the soil association (and that costs you over £400).
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
