Hi all
Am about to make my first chutney, just want to know, when a recipe says Malt Vinegar, this is the brown stuff i chuck on my chips right?

yes it is. Make sure it's proper malt vinegar
You might like to consider other vinegars such as red or white wine, cider vinegar, sherry vin etc etc. I find malt vinegar fine for pickled onions but prefer wine vinegars for beetroot and chutneys :D
