If you really want them all flowering at the same time, which months?

Most people have a few flowering at a time though the year, so there's always something to look at  ;)

Not many actually flower for that length of time

Day lilies go on and on from June. Lots of colours and some are scented too

Rose campion is a stayer for weeks

Big white daisies like Esther Reed give agood show for several weeks, and there are lots of yellow ones for later. Goldsturm is brilliant

Even at my age I've never managed a border that was successfull at flowering ALL summer  ;)

I wish it was easy!

Perennial geraniums are easy to grow and if you trim them back after flowering they will usually flower again, lots of different colours.
Most of the David Austin roses flower repeatedly through summer, if you don't mind putting roses in. They look good with lavender, which flowers for a long while.
Delphiniums , tall spikey jobs, finish by mid summer but then Verbascums start.
For small plants at the front I have mauve rockery campanulas, and as they finish flowering purple flowered thyme takes over. That's the kind of thing to do  ;)

See if this helps

For sheer flower power, the Erysimums are hard to beat.  Bowles Mauve is the best known but there are other colours.  Just keep deadheading and they will flower right through the summer into autumn  :)

You can plant bulbs in between your other plants, so could do daffs for spring , then alliums for slightly later and maybe pick up some crocosmia as well for late summer. New season bulbs are going to hit the garden centres in August  :)

My current favourite is Alstroemeria, not just because it's easily survived the last 3 winters, but it reminds me of our trip to Banham zoo (yes, there's a garden centre there!) when on holiday in Norfolk.

(Oh yes, it flowers continuously and beautifully from June through to the first frosts!)

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I was just going to say that Rachelk!
Perennial wallflowers have a lovely variety of colours too and last from Spring - Autumn.
Don't forget evergreen flowering shrubs such as hebe. Different ferns give a balance and are green for 6 months.
There's so much you could do!!!

It's such a shame that the hardy penstemons haven't been hardy here for the last 2 winters  >:(

If you don't mind shrubby stuff Perovskia is lovely on well-drained soil in full sun.  And lavender.  Nepeta.  Alchemilla mollis (just deadhead before it seeds everywhere)

Re Perennial wallflowers - I have one called winter orchid that flowered non-stop from march last year to June this year (with deadheading).  It is looking a bit poorly now but I have some cuttings in case it doesn't survive.
