More Lawn Advice please
« on: May 05, 2019, 19:40 »
hands and knees across the poorly lawn today, spotted Speedwell in several places and rock cress.  So the weed, feed and moss killer haven't touched those. If fact it hasn't dealt properly with a couple of the broad leaves either.  A specialist lawn site says to use 2,4-D-based herbicide. I looked this up and it said Resolva.    I am now quite nervous about causing more harm than good again.   So any advice will be appreciated.  Mrs Bouquet

Make sure you get the Resolva lawn weedkiller!  It works fine, I've used it before, but perhaps worth waiting to see if the feed, weed and mosskiller that you applied will do the job; it does take a little while to work.

Thank you, I was a bit shocked when somebody in the village, said, you'll have to dig it all out by hand.
No way, I get the Resolva, thanks again,  Mrs Bouquet

hello check and see what the weedkiller is in the weed feed and mosskiller check Rand esolva is a lawn weed killer with 2.4D Dicamba and MCPA some lawn weedkillers have aminocoprydol in if you use one of these remember that it may be persistant in compost for 9-18 months  another method is to take a scarifier over the lawn this should remove the Speedwell or if its a small lawn take a garden rake over it to lift the speedwell and run over it with a rotary mower   jezza
