unsealed and full definitely.

How long are you planning to keep it for, a couple of weeks or indefinately???

Im sure the stench probably gets worse over time, especially when its unsealed and the mixture benefits from the periodic addition of inquisitive yet unlucky birds drowning in it. so, it would be hard to guage an exact distance the stench will be able to travel. 

Im looking forward to hearing this idea
