help with bubble wrap insulation
« on: November 21, 2013, 19:11 »
It is several years since I used bubble wrap to insulate my greenhouse.

Can you help with these questions please?

1. Large bubbles or small bubbles?

2. Do I need to cover the walls completely?

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you  :)

Small or large bubbles, I don't think it matters.  Hint, bookies pencils are just the right size to trap the bubble wrap in the verticle grooves of most ally greenhouses.

Cheers,   Tony.

Something like this is cheap enough and easy to (re)use.

Bubblewrap clips
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thank you for the link , DD  :)

This is what I have only with longer -legs, so the wrap is held further away from the glass. As I have grape vine along the roof bars, this does help a bit.

I like your idea Kleftiwallah, but the bar gaps on our are very narrow

Have visions of all the pencils flying out as I catch my foot in a trailing piece and it all taughtens throughout the greenhouse    I am sure that would  not happen to you of course  ;)

and covering the walls? Essential or not?
