Today's death toll: one butternut squash, two cauliflower in the ground, two cauliflower still in pots, three dwarf bean, two potted dahlia, two planted out dahlia, one sprout.
I have been delving through my flower bed this week (about 30 ft long by about 3 ft wide) and at a guess I’ve removed about 200 big slugs and snails. Our present climate certainly suits them.
Well I hope they don’t get sick. The white ones ( and the blue) contain phosphate as the active ingredient, not metaldehyde which I think has been banned.
Mainly dodged the huge downpours trip to chickens x2 on the Lottie &then cleaned loads of plant labels & a bit of tidying & sorting out as I pottered around the garden
