If you go to any belt suppliers, preferably local, ask them for an AX20 belt, ensuring that you also ask for the toothed rubber vee-belt type not a kevlar one.. THis is what is fitted to my DM, bought from a supplier on Ebay. I was slightly peeved as I'd been asking for this belt at my local place and they kept giving me a kevlar one which I couldn't make work as it wasn't flexible enough.
The bod who sell's 'em on Ebay supplies the correct one but knows how to charge! Just search for Flymo DM on there and you'll find his ad.
Blimey! You mean you can *grow* things in soil?

...I seem to think that on DM that the belt cover acted in lieu of belt guides ??  and was close fitting fitting around the belt/pullies...hence an important feature for correct operation.??
                  Is my memory correct.??

The belt, as an "A"  type??, was quite a short sort of length and hence can be a bit comical to bed in to shape..I seem to recall.??   That is where Browsers experience with notched? belt is useful...
When I was fiddling with DM...notched? belts were perhaps not about...

All the best,

No, the belt guard was just that, a guard. THe belt, as you say, is very short and runs around the drive & driven pullety with a tensioner giving the belt a real work-out as far as flex goes! And yes, it took a couple of three hours use to bed in properly.

Thank you for the update Browser.:)

By belt guide I meant a device for holding belt in shape and evenly clear of pullies when out of drive.   It's all along while ago since I saw one...

They certainly where chunky inflexible belts as standard A  ;)

All the best,

Thanks a lot for fresh link and the advise guys, i just ordered a kevlar today but may  try the toothed at a later date to compare the difference.   ;)

The helpful chappie over at bearing supplies gave me a little advice also , and they send out far more of the kevlar for this machine than the toothed.

He was chuffed to bits that they'd got a mention here. Keep up the good work.  :D

Don't think you'll be disappointed with the belt from them, worked a treat on mine  :)
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
