Charlotte is a "must grow" spud in my humble opinion.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Couldn't find any at the Potato day this year, so trying Vales Emerald which is a Charlotte x Maris Peer so we will see

Rocket - 1st

Kestrel - 2nd

Picasso - Main

Cara - Lates

Approx 60 of each, hoping to squeeze them all into  6m x 8 m plot :D

If you stick to recommended spacings, you won't do it. You may just about get the Cara and Picasso in.

How are you differentiating between "main" and "lates"?

IDK, mains = 1st main, lates  = 2nd mains?

I might have to only plant maybe 40 of each, and shove the rest in Bags in the back yard :D

is 60 of each a bit OTT?

For the space you've got, yes.

Your area is actually just about the right size for your mians/lates only.

I'm planting about 300, but I do have 800 sq yards to play with.

WE're going for Ulster Chieftan, first earlies, King Edwards for roasting, Blue Danube, as they are only 99p from T&M, and Rooster cos we grew them last year and had some very good results.

I am very very jealous.
Is this space your allotment or your back garden?
My friend has a back garden a lot bigger than many allotments but does absolutely nothing with it. What a waste.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

Allotment holder since 27th May 2007.

Why not offer to do your friend's back garden?
