you only have to break or chip one piece of favorite crockery to be never allowed near the washing up ever again. its a good job my daughter hasn't figured that one out yet.

Wow, it was definitely worth a trip to Keynsham! They had some amazing Garden Club offers in addition to the 50p per pack on all veg & flowers. I'm hoping they have some offers when they get the fruit bushes in next month.

I wouldn't hold your breath!

The seeds are end of season, the fruit bushes aren't!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

They had lots of offers for club members on autumn bedding plants that were just in, cloches, grow tunnels and fertilisers so maybe, just maybe, I will be in luck...

Thanks for the heads up - I got £93 worth of seeds for £17.50 this weekend. Last year everything was mixed up in buckets by the time I realised, so it was bliss that they were all still hanging up.

Having been scorned by the allotment bods last year for doing the same thing and buying 'out of date' seeds, they somehow failed to notice my thriving plot when everything without exception grew like the wind!
A years worth of veg (minus potatoes and onions) for £10.50 can't be bad.

I just have to stop looking at all the packets and get them in the fridge now. :D

You refrigerate seeds?

Always, in fact I get paranoid about leaving them out.
I put them in a bubble wrap style bag and they go in the salad drawer. Longest I've kept some seeds in the fridge that germinated was an amazing 7 years (and the plants, Gaura, are still going strong about 4 years later!)
