slugs eating potato leaves
« on: May 20, 2013, 21:13 »
Hi all

With the wet weather slugs are out in numbers and are eating my lovely big potato leaves
Its really annoying
I have pet rabbits and the slug pellets I have say dont use for pets dangerous

Is there another easy way to stop them

I heard they hate gravel
My spuds r all in bags in the garden

I dont want my lovely kestrels and lady c ruined after 7 weeks if growing

Thanks dave

If you sprinkle a few pellets inside the bag on the compost and tie up the leaves so they do not drag on the ground, your rabbits should not get into the bags them selves.

Alternatively, tie the leaves up and then explore by torch light to catch the slugs and dispose of them
