Our chickens have two nesting boxes side by side but always lay in just the one box.   Went to collect the eggs this morning but couldn't as were still laying .......two chickens squashed together in one box .....soul sisters or just thick !!!

I was horrified to find my newly broody Legbar sat in the the nestbox, with two Black Rocks sitting laying on top of her.

A perfectly good, empty nest box right next to them.

 

Brains? No.

Where are all these adds coming from?  They seem to pop up quite a lot and it is very irritating.

I've not been on for a little while, and noticed them since I've come back.  They are irritating, but possible a good little earner?

Re cuddly chooks.  I have 7 girlies.  3 perch at night, the other 4 sleep in the 3 nest boxes, so there's always a bit of snuggling going on!  I think it's nice!
