On our travels in North Devon this week, we came across the little gem that is the Clovelly Estate walled garden. We virtualy had the place to ourselves and it proved to be a peaceful idylic haven. Feast your eyes on the vegetable garden and the greenhouses. :-)

Really incredible place, Bodger. Can't quite tell what is growing in pix 6 and 7. How many do they feed at that place? Must be a small army.

I am now very cross, we went to North Devon a few weeks ago (L I hope you remebered not to eat at the Coffee Mill in Lynmouth) and we went to Clovelly but never saw the gardens. How do you find these places, you must be really nosy.

Yep, DD, a lot of thought and effort went into your walled garden pic  Bet people are beating down the doors to get in for a looky.

We had a walled garden in our local park (Mote Park) It used to be a big country estate. The council have sold it and it's had house built on it, or rather retirement homes costing about half a million each - I've not got my name down for one

Fabulous place that Bodger :D
-
