Pour it in the jars when its about the consistency of pouring custard.

Thanks all. ;)

Got it in the jars, well most of it, not my fault if I kept getting it on my fingers. got to lick it off, can't waste it can I, :tongue2: now letting it cool down, do I cool it in fridge or let it cool on its own?

Wife is at work so I can't ask her, not that she would know as she hasn't made it before either.

Who says men don't know what to do in the kitchen :tongue2:
Making fresh bread to spread it on, smells like heaven in "my" kitchen.

Don't know what to try next, got to cook Sunday roast tomorrow as OH isworking again, so I will have a go at lemon Meringue

Try this for a delicious pud. Crush meringues into whipped cream and ripple through your lemon curd.   Absolutely delicious and just a tad on the fattening side!!  ::)

In danger of fusing the computer with drool.....fresh bread AND home made lemon curd. ::) No wonder I'm as big as a house when people give me these cravings! Good job I'm too busy to go to the shops. :(  SIGH

Nannybuggins,
That sounds totally out of this world, gonna try it while OH at work as she is trying to lose a few pounds. Love her just as she is, but she is not happy with her shape.
Told her to eat what she wants, but in moderation, that way there is more left for me :D

Lemon curd turned out great, having my first attempt at lemon meringue, so far, so good.

 :D :) :) :tongue2:
Yes, Yes, Yes,
Meringue  has turned out WOW.
Can't believe I've actually done it, was told that it is hard to make.
Next comes jam tarts, lemon curd tarts.
Wasn't going to do a meringue cos I didn't fancy poking myself in the eyes when it said bake the base blind,  wasn't looking forward to the pain, so I cheated by lining the base with foil and covering it with pot beads. ;) Only joking. :tongue2: :tongue2:

Ohsocute Masterchef beckons!! Well done.  I made a lemon sponge and filled it with my homemade lemon curd.and I want to try other curd flavours.  My son has chickens and they send me down some eggs so that is a good way of using them.
Keep on cooking ... :D

This is the wifes site, but I'm on it most. ;)
We have chickens also, all 6 started laying about 5 weeks ago, so it is use them as they come.
Wife wants me to make some orange curd. ::)
When I lived in Grimsby many years ago I used to work in a jam factory and we used to make the bestest, flavourists, most mouth-wateringest orange curd ever.

Can't buy the brand anymore, >:( but it was like eating a smooth creamy tangy orange.
Is that making your mouth water, cos it is mine

Just put some "maids of honour" in the oven, never done them before either.
