Transplanting rhubarb from a pot
« on: April 06, 2013, 13:56 »
I moved in the middle of last year and at that point dug up my rhubarb to take with me and transplanted it into a big tub, to wait until my fruit beds were ready. However, they were completed over the winter but there was no room for the rhubarb.

Its been in the big tub over winter and has now started regrowing. The new bed I have created for it is now ready. Can I/should I replant it now or do I need to wait for the winter for it to go dormant again?

Thanks.

Dig a big hole and pop it in now, it will be fine.

Be kind to it and give it a nice bag of rotted manure to grow on.
