About 3" of snow this morning. Temp now about 1C and forecast to freeze hard tonight

Covering of snow here this morning, thawing where the sun has been on it. A good bit more on the hills of Arran visible from the window. Will freeze hard tonight.

Snowed all morning, stopped about 2ish, grey and overcast and forecast for frost tonight.
Brrrrrrr - bring on spring.

Most of the snow has melted but at 6pm what was left was frozen and crunchy. Chickens are all cosy in their double skinned Eglu and the potting shed has a heater on froststat plus I've put propagator lids on the seed trays that have my chitting potatoes in as a bit of extra protection.
Forecast here is 1 degree but since it's already minus 1 I'm expecting minus 3 or lower. Being 200 metres up the hill drops the temperature by at least 3 degrees. Couple in the wind chill and it's brass monkeys out there.

Very cold and frosty here this morning.  Just noticed that one of my big pots that I have bulbs in has cracked during the night so it must have gotten very cold.

It snowed again last night - thicker than the first fall. Small drifts as well. Currently just under freezing. Hens not very pleased and the cats are well cheesed off so have decided to find warm spots in the house and sleep.

It's cold, grey and damp here, temp rose just slightly above freezing in the last hour. Brrr

Bright and sunny here, but cold.  We had showers of tiny snow flakes yesterday a.k.a. snizzle, but there was no chance of that settling.

-7C last night, max all day has been 1C but forecast to get a little milder tonight with snow showers and then back to cold as the grave by weekend. Spring can't come soon enough, I've had a belly full of the coldest winter for 5 years

Yes - but it's killing the slugs & snails

Most of the snow is melted except on the drive.. which is why the car is stuck on the verge at the bottom of the drive.

Should be a lot warmer tomorrow.. fingers crossed!

Blue skies and sunshine today and milder, though very blowy.  The sun felt quite warm through the greenhouse glass.  An illusion I know, but by February I will take anything I can get if it promises things are progressing towards spring somehow or other.

Not got above 3.5C here today, with a strong NW breeze making it feel much colder (not tempted me out even as far as the greenhouse!)

although it was supposed to be about 7degs today, i just want to hibernate!  the wind chill is bitter and i keep looking at my garden/veg patch through the window and cant bear the thought of going out there! even a quick trip to the log store finishes me off....  goodness knows what my allotment looks like!

Probably much the same as mine    Never mind, it can sleep a while longer.  No point trying to dig sodden soil in the chill.

Today has dawned frosty, still and clear and the ground is frozen. The birds are making a huge racket anyway.  They think its time to sing and its lovely to hear

One minute the sun is shining and the birds singing, next minute there's sleet ...then sun again ...then rain and finally I get a nice hammering from the wind!
February weather is certainly keeping me on my toes as I attempt to clear the new plot in time for Spring!
