Eggs in Bread.
« on: February 10, 2010, 16:06 »
The manual says "Eggs : Improve the nutritional value and colouring of the bread " Seems like a good idea - plenty of fresh eggs daily from the girls.. but then I read " Water amounts must be reduced proportionately"

Does it mean weigh the egg (shell less?) and then reduce the water ml the same as the egg in grams ?

This cooking business is far too complicated !  :wub:

I'm not sure at which stage you add the eggs, but if it as the same time as the water, I'd whisk the eggs up in the bottom of a measuring jug, and top it up to the volume required with water.

Right...take measuring jug/cup.....break egg into it.

I was joking ::)

About food ? About a bacon sandwhich ? Oh the horror !  :nowink:

The egg had no ill effect on my wholemeal loaf and seems an excellent way of using up the surplus.
