Here comes the summer- The Undertones

Looking at MetO forecasts it doesn't look as if there will be any really cold nights for at least the next few weeks (as far as their forecasts go) so I'd say put them in greenhouse....

Thank you. Right, they're going to their new home tomorrow morning on my way to the polling station.

I was potting on in there after work this evening and it was actually lovely and warm so I must remember that the impression I get on my early morning visits is not indicative of general temperature.

(The Four Seasons - Antonio Vivaldi.
Yes, I know it's not a song. Nor is it from this century. Or the last.
But I couldn't resist!)

It’s finally all coming together now

I am glad to say, I’m keeping my original pond, but just for an ornamental pond and the wild life, plus the birds like the water fall for a bath

I’ll post pictures as it progresses

Cold and wet has been the theme for this spring - I guess things will catch up, but better safe than sorry with the planting out (or not!)

Sounds like a plan  :)

You might find that the chlorine from the tap water would dissipate naturally over a few days?

Pork chops here as well, but with onions fried in the pan along with them and made into gravy.  Baked potatoes, roasted carrots and cabbage to go with.

I have now found someone prepared to dig the hole for my pond

He asked me the size of the hole, I said 6 feet long, 4 feet wide and 2 feet deep

He said ‘Are you burying a body?’

I showed him the pond going into the hole

He used to be a grave digger, so it should be a fairly simple job for him

I’ve got several water butts to fill it, but not enough water, so it will be refilling them with tap water

(Then using a tip I know about for removing chlorine, Camden tablets, they work well in wine making)

Oh, well I have to build the surround, then get a filter, good thing I have a spare pond pump
