I grew a single coloured echinacea a couple of years ago. As a perennial, they didn't come back.

I didn't mention, my plug plants arrived in a torn box too.

Well I got 54 plants. all sorted and put to bed.  Echinacea Primadonna (6).  Heuchera Palace Purple (6).  Digitalis Foxglove Dalmatian Peach (6).  Primrose Most Scented mix (12).  Polianthus Cresendo Mixed (12).  Primrose Alaska Multi-coloured (12).

AND
an apologetic letter saying as the demand was huge, have a £5:00 voucher as well!  So I have 54 plants which I am grateful for and a fiver.  So the total cost was minus 5p :)   A bargain in anybodies money.   Thanks to those who told me about it and those who told me how to go about getting it.

Cheers,   Tony.

Interesting and well done for getting some more plants and varieties than some of us Tony. I wonder how and when they decided they couldn't honour the "huge demand". It seems they didn't do it on a first come first served basis.

You've done well. I'd have been happy with that mix.

Mine arrived today:

polyanthus, primroses of two sorts, heuchera Palace Purple, foxglove (peach coloured) and echinacea

Wasn't expecting a mass of primroses but I can find homes for them come the Spring, in the tubs at work

Too dark and wet to go out and pot them on right now, so given them a splash of water

I got the Usual 48 plants that most people got, but i look at it this way. If T&M advertised 48 plants and a 5p coin delivered for free, most people would jump at it. Only problem was they did'nt send the £5 voucher.

Mr Sunny had unpacked mine as the box was saturated, and put all the 'bumph' as he called it ontop of the recycle box indoors.

After reading your post Tony I ferreted about and found ...... a £5 gift voucher  8)

Thanks, Tony for posting about this   :D :D

I think T&M have seriously underestimated the response they would get. The £5 voucher they sent as a sweetener will cover the p&p on another order. Not great !

You got up to 72 plant's and 5p for nought and you say it ain't great. Well as Chas and Dave said, "There's no pleasing you"

Fatcat they didn't send what they said they would. If you are happy with service like that then you are easy pleased.

OK they didn't send as many plants as they said they would, but we were getting free plants  ::)

However it seems to me that I got a voucher in respect of a refund for their non fulfillment of the complete order - plus however many plants they did post which I am free to keep.

Not good service but - to me it seems a fair deal  :)

I got the same number and mix of plants as Tony and Sunny, plus a £5 voucher valid until 31/12/12.

The plugs are tiny so not sure they are worth over £70 as the offer stated    Also didn't really want all the prims and polys, but as Mum says, I got my money back and got some plants so can't really moan  :)

I got 6 echinacea, 6 lavender, 12 wall flowers (I hate wallflowers! Love the smell, but the flowers are so boring), 24 primroses (2 varieties),which I didn't want as I already have far more than I need (or want) anyway. But they were free, will just have to try and find homes for them all. I am sure if I leave them by the lottie gates they will find new homes with no bother at all! :)

The thing is we all knew which plants we wanted to receive, but there was never any guarantee which types we'd actually get - was there  :nowink:

True, but it would have been nice for my new flower border plan if some of them had been on the list of possibles!  OK, I think echinacea was.  :nowink:
