At long last my tomatoes have started to ripen.  Just wondering where I should keep them when I bring them home, I have found in the past that if I keep them in the fridge they are a bit tasteless when I take them out.  Should I keep them at room temp or should I put them in the fridge and just take out what I want each day and let them come back up to room temp.

They are best stored out of the fridge IMO - it just means you have to use them up a bit quicker

Like cucumbers, they survive longer when out of the fridge!

It'll take the seed companies years to understand what happens when veg are picked, they just churn out the stuff that needs constant attention!

Cool, dark, dry place is the best storage...but the fact is that they store better on the plant than anywhere else, so I'd just pick them as you use them.

Never store tomatoes in the fridge. It affects their taste and quality.
