Post by: frenchliving on August 13, 2012, 15:12
off I went yesterday to buy some reduced priced Silkies - we wanted four white, but ended up with 2 x white and 2 x black with a copper fleck on there neck> he says there hens as they have no comb as yet, but I know that nobody can be sure just yet, they are around 3 months old.

Just had to share them with you (Now I know how!)

i did say that i would be bringing them back when they started to cock a doodle do! but as your aware Casey, french have little sense of humour and "their" birds dont make this sound! maybe another 6 months of cuteness! he did say they were inedible!! but I found out today online there skin and bones are black and the chinese eat them!! so watch this space!

yes, but the chinese alsop eat a lot of other things that we would consider inedible!!

i got some silkies recently around the same age.  was told that the girls tend to have rounder tail feathers (rounder arrangement of them).  hope thats true or my neighbours will hate me!
