Tomato variety "Conocas"!
« on: August 07, 2013, 12:05 »

Received seeds from a fellow member but mislaid your name, the plants are growing well but unable to locate variety for growing information.  Please help!

Cheers. :)   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

When they go red pick them.
Stop after 6 trusses.
After all the fruit is removed, compost them.
What else is there to know with a tom?

Quote
Stop after 6 trusses
would be the wrong advice if it's a determinate variety.

so that info would help  :nowink:

Nearest name to that I can find is "Cuostralee", unless it's one of the "Costoluto" varieties?

If you want to have a look for yourself there is a good database HERE (but be warned, there are 802 varieties listed, which could be a problem if yours doesn't actually start with a "C", and even more of a problem if it isn't actually on the list!)

(Leave "find" blank, "in"= variety, "crop"= tomatoes, sort by variety name, order ascending.)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

bear in mind that's an American site - so not all of them will be available, or suitable for growing, here in the UK  ;)
