Deconstructing sheds/shelters

Eventually - I will be moving my horse to field next door to house. Could get bargain stables as current owner of yard where horse is wants rid of half her block.

Trouble is of course it involves removing electrics - dismantling - transporting -and re-constructing. Hmmm is it easy? Can vaguely handy people do it or would it involve calling a handyman who has more of a clue?

Electrics would need a electrician obviously.

If we bought them anyone here want to earn a few bob and help us take them down?

If stables too tricky I DO want to re-locate my tack shed - its a nice shed and I only paid £40 for it - couldn't buiy another for that so worth removing - as no electrics and it would prob go on back of a horse trailer. Again - tips/advice is it easy to do etc etc...??

I assume its all wood/timber panel construction?

We moved a large shed recently....tough work.
Make sure you have loads of helpers to lift move hold stuff.

Buy plenty of additional fixings to use when putting it back together as it won't be as sturdy as being put up the first time (corner brackets, jointing strips etc)

As for the electrics :? :? You could disconnect at the mains when taking it down and take it apart yourself but definetely get an electrician to put it back

Yes all wood. Waht did you use to transport the shed on?

We used my brother in laws van, some panels went inside and others on the roof. I think it took two trips in the end.

If your rural, see if a local farmer would take it on tractor and trailer for a few quid? Hiring a van can be pricey
