Warrens

Never run away, friendliest of all but will peck at your shoelaces if you aren't quick enough with the corn.

Hi

I have 12 Black Rock Hens just over a year old. I chose them as l was a complete beginner to chickens. I certainly would not call mine docile but they are very hardy and have laid well pretty much all winter. They are quite a lively bird (well mine are) and quite friendly.
Hope this help you a little.

my blackrock and bluebelle are very docile and pretty, but if you handle any new birds then most should become friendly  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

Go for a hybrid, (RIR / Barred rock)
Docile, friendly, good layer and good size eggs.

I have one those as well as a sussex, kinda wished I had had 2 hybrids now as the sussex is a right runaway pain in the ***

1st year at 'proper' veggie gardening with 2x 12ftx4ft raised beds. loads of patio containers, 2 chickens and 1 ferret.

My Suffolk Noir are quiet, friendly and great layers. :)  They're a cross between a RIR and a copper black maran.
Cheese makes everything better.

I've got two ex commercial lohman browns along with a bluebell, light sussex, two scots dumpies and two australorp bantams. The Lohmans are probably the friendliest, they also lay big eggs.
