I have recently acquired a Bosch AXT 2200 shredder and need a new blade. From what I understand Bosch have changed to laser sharpened blades which are supposed to be better.

Does anyone have experience of the new blades?

There are a lot of blades advertised, how do I distinguish between the old and the new.

Salmo i had the same shredder but the motor bunt out you may know that  it has a twin edged blade you just turn it over as for the laser blade  it looks the same as the one i had very good it was but the shredder did not like damp or wet twigs etc needles to say that's how the motor burnt out

The difference between normal shapened blades and laser is simply that the laser sharpened blade has a more accurate edge on it compared to a ground blade and should cut better and last longer. there is no difference in the shape or dimensions of the blade. It should state laser sharpened on the packaging or in the products desciption
