Title: Use nettles in potato trenches

Ive read about using comfrey to line potato trenches, would stinging nettles have a similar affect?

Sounds interesting, but I would say that the potatoes are already in the ground and the nettles are only just starting to come up, here anyway....

I wish mine were, ive only just got my allotment yesterday :)
I can get my hands on lots of nettles but no comfrey as of yet.

Well done you and good luck with the lottie. :) See what others say about the nettles, you do make nettle tea after all.....

Yeah thats what i thought, just want to make sure nobody else has tried and had a bad result from it.
