Hey guys, I have five hens. The go to bed between 8 and 9 every night. However, 1 or 2 of them have taken to sleeping in the nest boxes, as a result 1 ended up with an eye infection. 
Having gone through this site, I decided to lift the two hens on to the perch last night. But they went mental.  I'm not sure where they ended up, when I left them they were standing between the two perches.  I know one slept in the nest box. 
Any tips?

try and find something to block the nest box off at night - you have had the same problem as me so you don't need to repeat it

I blocked off the next boxes last night and when I went down to lock them in, all five hens were neatly lined up on the perches. Very happy indeed.
